Influencers “Lucas Picolé” and “Mano Queixo” released from prison after being convicted for drug trafficking
João Lucas da Silva Alves, also known as “Lucas Picolé,” has been sentenced to three years and four months in prison by the Amazonas Court for drug trafficking. On the other hand, Enzo Felipe da Silva Oliveira, aka “Mano Queixo,” who was also arrested alongside him, has been acquitted of the crime. The influencers were suspected of engaging in fraud with the sale of raffle tickets in Manaus, and they were granted their freedom on Tuesday (19).
“Lucas Picolé” and “Mano Queixo” were indicted by the Amazonas Civil Police (PC-AM) for drug trafficking, association for drug trafficking, possession of restricted ammunition, and tampering with a motor vehicle’s identification sign, among other 11 crimes.
The two were released from the Male Provisional Detention Center (CDPM) at 5:30 pm, according to their defense team, who announced a press conference for Wednesday (20) to address the influencer’s release.
The sentence against “Lucas Picolé” was signed by Judge Jean Carlos Pimentel dos Santos on Monday (18). The judge imposed a sentence of three years and four months of imprisonment and a fine of 333 days, with each day equivalent to 30% of the minimum wage, for the crime.
The punishment is initially to be served by “Lucas Picolé” in an open regime, according to the sentence issued by the Amazonas Court. The judge decided to acquit “Mano Queixo,” who was also arrested for the crime.
Operation Dracma
In August of this year, PC-AM concluded an investigation into illegal raffle ticket sales and indicted eight individuals for 11 different crimes. This led to the coordination of Operation Dracma, divided into two phases, which were carried out on June 29 and July 5.
According to Deputy Cícero Túlio, in charge of the investigation, over one ton of counterfeit clothing products were seized during the police operations, along with ten vehicles, including an altered motorcycle. Additionally, 175 units of synthetic drugs (LSD) and rifle ammunition were found during the execution of search warrants.
The investigations revealed that “Lucas Picolé” and “Mano Queixo” were also involved in the trade of firearms and ammunition, as well as being connected to the trafficking of synthetic drugs.
Fraud with online raffle ticket sales
The influencers are under investigation for suspected fraud related to the sale of raffle tickets online in Manaus. Both of them were arrested during Operation Dracma, which also led to the arrest of Isabelly Aurora. The influencer was released from prison in October of this year.
At the time, the state court annulled the house arrest of Isabelly Aurora Simplício Souza, known as Isabelly Aurora, and the preventive detention of Lucas Picolé.
Isabelly Aurora and her ex-husband, Paulo Victor Monteiro Bastos, 25, along with João Lucas da Silva Alves, 24, known as “Lucas Picolé,” were arrested in June during the second phase of Operation Dracma, conducted by the Amazonas Civil Police, which investigates fraud in the sale of raffle tickets online.
“Lucas Picolé” had previously been arrested alongside “Mano Queixo” during the first phase of the operation. The police also investigated former municipal employee Flávia Ketlen Matos da Silva, who was involved in the investigation into the illicit raffle scheme on the internet.
